Hello! Morning Theater - Pyon Seijin Invasion (2002.09.08 - 2002.09.15)

Back in 2002, MiniMoni had a segment called "MiniMoni. Pyon Seijin". The premise was that the MiniMoni members were aliens from a planet close to the Earth, called Pyonsei, and were researching all kinds of things about our planet to prepare for an invasion. In practice, that meant boring segments with jokes being made about random objects they'd "study" and a bunch of thing I didn't understand. I never liked this segment very much, with one or two exceptions. Well, these two days here were the major exceptions. These were the episodes when the Pyon Seijin finally made their Earth invasion, which was portrayed as a crossover between that segment and the Theater one. "Hello! Morning Theater - Pyon Seijin Invasion" is a name I made up, it's officialy two segments of Pyon Seijin and two of Theater making up a single story. The whole thing embedded up here is a little over 20min, 4 parts because YouTube doesn't like length over 10min and I decided to split them by segment. Here are the links to the parts on Veoh:

The Pyon Seijin segment got a little better (and more weird) after this episode. There was another exception I really liked, one with Yuuko (she had said before in the program that she'd like to appear in this segment someday)... These are a pain to translate though, because they scream a lot of stuff at the same time and some things are just too random. Lots of jokes with similar words/kanji that never work well in a translation, there's plenty of those in the first video here too.

There's a part in it when Rika says something about the Way of the Devil... That was in the previous episode, I'm not sure if that was included in the Until the Bus Comes DVDs HPS subbed. It refers to a black strip on the street that made any character who stepped on it act delinquently. I'm quite sure it appeared more than once in these skits... And there's a sentence Kaorin says which makes no sense at all, but it's not my fault. Translation is right. Maybe that's a catch phrase from some TV show or whatever, I don't know.

wow, that's quite a collection, I never though of looking for them on dailymotion. yeah, I'll do some other ones, and maybe some different segments.
